Frequently Asked Questions

Everything families ask before bringing home one of our boxer puppies. Don't see your question? Get in touch.

About Our Boxers

Are your boxer puppies AKC registered?

Yes. Our boxer puppies come from AKC-registered parents and are eligible for AKC registration. We provide all paperwork at pickup so you can complete registration in your name.

What colors of boxers do you breed?

We primarily produce classic fawn and brindle boxers, often with flashy white markings. Color availability varies by litter — check our Puppies page for what's currently available.

Are your boxers raised in a home environment?

Absolutely. Every puppy is family-raised inside our home, handled daily from birth, and exposed to children, household sounds, and other dogs. This early socialization gives them a confident, well-adjusted start.

Do you crop ears or dock tails?

Tails are docked in the first few days of life as is standard for the breed. Ear cropping is optional and discussed individually — we do not crop unless specifically requested by the buyer.

Health & Guarantees

What health testing do the parents have?

Our breeding dogs are screened for the major boxer-specific conditions, including cardiac evaluation (boxer cardiomyopathy / aortic stenosis), hips, and DM (degenerative myelopathy). Results are available on request.

What vaccinations and vet care do puppies receive before pickup?

Puppies go home with age-appropriate vaccinations, multiple rounds of deworming, a full vet wellness exam, and a written health record you'll bring to your own vet.

Do you offer a health guarantee?

Yes. Every puppy comes with a written health guarantee covering genetic conditions. Full terms are included in the contract you receive before pickup.

How long do boxers typically live?

A well-bred, well-cared-for boxer generally lives 10–12 years. Good nutrition, healthy weight, regular vet care, and routine cardiac checks help maximize lifespan.

Buying a Puppy

How do I reserve a puppy?

Reach out through our Contact page to start the conversation. Once we're a good match, a non-refundable deposit holds your puppy. Remaining balance is due at pickup.

How much do your boxer puppies cost?

Pricing depends on the litter, color, and markings. Contact us directly for current pricing on available puppies — we're transparent and will explain exactly what's included.

At what age do puppies go home?

Puppies go to their new families at 8 weeks old. They are never released earlier — those final two weeks with mom and littermates are critical for behavioral development.

Do you ship puppies?

We strongly prefer in-person pickup so you can meet us, the parents, and see where your puppy was raised. For long-distance buyers, we can discuss ground transport or flight nanny options at the buyer's expense.

Is there a waitlist?

Yes. When litters are spoken for, we maintain a waitlist for upcoming litters. Get on the list early through our Contact page.

Living With a Boxer

Are boxers good with children?

Boxers are famously great family dogs — patient, playful, and protective. Like any dog, interactions with young children should always be supervised, and your puppy should be taught calm manners early.

Do boxers get along with other pets?

When properly socialized from puppyhood, boxers typically do well with other dogs and household pets. Early, positive exposure is the key.

How much exercise does a boxer need?

Adult boxers need 1–2 hours of daily activity — walks, play, and mental stimulation. Puppies need much less structured exercise to protect growing joints; free play in a safe yard is best until 18 months.

Are boxers easy to train?

Boxers are intelligent and eager to please, but they're also playful and can be stubborn. Short, positive, consistent training sessions starting at 8 weeks work best. See our training guide for a step-by-step approach.
